Xiaomi Smart TV has a minimalist design and strong build flaunt. It has an aluminum alloy frame on all four sides with a brushed metallic finish that gives the Xiaomi Smart TV a premium look. One thing I quickly noticed is that the Mi branding has now been replaced by Xiaomi, even though the TV was launched before Xiaomi officially announced it. Not that it makes any difference to watch.
The Xiaomi branding has an LED indicator followed by a physical push button to mute the remote microphone. You can use a table-top stand or wall mount to install the TV. Although only table stands are included in the retail box and customers will have to purchase the wall mount separately.
Overall, the build quality seems tough and justifies the price tag.
Xiaomi Smart TV covers most of the connection options you find on your smart TV It has three HDMI 2.1 ports, two USB ports, an Ethernet port, an optical port, a 3.5mm port and an AV input port. The two HDMI ports support features like ALLM (Auto Low Latency Mode) and eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel).
Finding HDMI settings on Xiaomi TV has always been a chore (not after you figured it out) and it remains unchanged here as well. There is also Bluetooth connectivity that can be used to connect the Mi remote and other accessories to the smart TV. Lastly, Google Assistant has a remote mic for easy access.
The feature is even more meaningful on smartphones because it not only reduces the strain on your eyes but also reduces battery drain. The latter is not a problem on smart TVs. To enable adaptive brightness, the Xiaomi Smart TV uses a built-in photoelectric sensor that adjusts the panel's backlight to match the lighting conditions of the room.
One thing that really looks good is that Xiaomi is stepping in the right direction and developing an already impressive lineup of smart TVs. At the same time, it is making these offers more accessible.
The Xiaomi Smart TV is well built, the overall picture quality is good, the patchwall is fun to use and the speakers are loud. And, after a few days of using the TV, I can say that it is definitely worth your money.
